Valdemar Skou Knudsen

Welcome to my homepage! Here you will find some basic information about me and my interests, including my blog!

I hold a Masters degree in mathematics, obtained from the University of Copenhagen. My thesis was in data-driven simulation of PDEs, with the title "Approximating solutions to partial differential equations with physics-informed reproducing kernels" (more details can be found on my projects page). I am interested in mathematical modelling with differential equations, advanced techniques for PDE simulation (including high-order Galerkin and Tau methods), as well as PDE constrained optimization and Bayesian inference. I am proficient in several programming languages, primarily Python and Julia, but I have additional experience with C++ and R.

I currently teach mathematics at Nørre Gymnasium (high school level, danish STX system), where I also supervise interdisciplinary projects. Previous I worked as a TA at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at UCPH, where I taught courses in real analysis, complex analysis, differential equations, linear algebra, and more.
